Stack Overflow overflowed

Do you remember what you were doing the day StackOverflow went down? I was researching something and came across an old, old page, barely useful but yet somehow still relevant to what I was doing.

At that very moment the site showed me 00010101s and was "offline for maintenance"! Was it my fault? Had I accessed something so deep in the ether of the internet that I'd brought down the developer's goto?

No - turns out someone just screwed up a deployment. Oops.

The site came back painfully... 

 Then read-only...

And soon we were back with our Google of choice for dev questions. *happysigh*

Turns out Stack Exchange has a fairly cute 404 page too:
